A Progeny Test of Ottawa Valley Jack Pine--6-Year Results
Seed was collected from ten random trees in each of two stands from each of five areas along a 60-mile transect from Petawawa to Deux Rivieres. Tree height at the three test sites in the Valley reveal differences among progenies (trees) but not among stands or areas. The results are discussed in relation to delineation of populations, seed collection and improvement of jack pine.
