Forest Nursery Seedling Production in the United States—Fiscal Year 2016

Forest nursery production for the 2016 planting season was more than 1.2 billion forest tree seed - lings, with nearly 2.5 million ac (1 million ha) of trees planted. The majority of production and planting (82 percent) occurred in the Southern States. Approximately 75 percent of outplanted trees are bareroot stock.
