Diseases of Conifer Seedlings Caused by Seed-Borne Fusarium Species

The genus Fusarium includes many common soil-borne fungi that may colonize conifer seed, especially if clones are collected from the ground or squirrel caches. These fungi most commonly infect the seed coat, but can also colonize the seed embryo and endosperm.
