IPM Program for Ornamental Nurseries in Wisconsin

An Integrated Pest Management Program was developed to assist the growers of woody landscape plants in Wisconsin reduce their chemical pesticide inputs through educational instruction on pest identification and the implementation of a stock monitoring program. The nursery IPM program offered alternative pest management options along with the timely implementation of traditional strategies. Educational programs gave growers the opportunity to sharpen their pest identification skills which in turn improved their pest management ability.
