Mead Woodlands Greenhouse Facility

The MEAD Corporation containerized seedling production began with the construction of the first greenhouse in late 1979. Production at that time was 250,000 seedlings per year. In the fall of 1982, construction began on 2 more greenhouses and 3 shadehouses. This increased the growing area under plastic to its current size of 45,000 square feet.
