Priming Treatments to Improve Pine Seed Vigor

Osmotic priming improved both final germination and rapidity of germination in loblolly pine and showed a detrimental effect or no effect on slash pine seeds. The beneficial effects of priming were lowest for stratified seeds and greatest at a low germination temperature.
