Root Form of Planted Trees

The degree of root deformation of newly planted trees is governed by nursery practice, container design, planting method and quality, and site conditions. Evidence suggests that root systems of planted trees become increasingly "normal", and that toppling of planted trees will not be a major problem in Canadian forests.
