Contrasting Approaches to Containerized Seedling Production - British Columbia

Container seedling production in British Columbia has expanded to 38 million seedlings annually in public nurseries and about 25 million annually in private nurseries with the BC/CFS styroblock serving as the principal container. Seedlings are grown in single crops during an ex-tended normal growing season in facilities ranging from natural to climate-controlled environments.
