The Southeastern Area, State and Private Forestry, U. S. Forest Service, and the Southern Group of State Foresters were happy to sponsor the 1966 Nurserymen's Conferences. The meetings demonstrated the changing nature of the job of forest tree nurserymen. No longer do they only grow pine seedlings. For many nurserymen, present "new" jobs include the production of hardwoods and seed orchard management. All papers relating to these subjects and other papers presented at the Conferences are contained in these proceedings.
