16th Wildland Shrub Symposium
All persons are invited to attend, participate, and share their perspectives at the 16th Wildland Shrub Symposium. This year’s theme is "Threats to Shrubland Ecosystem Integrity: Linking Research and Management." The Wildland Shrub Symposium Series are developed by The Shrub Research Consortium (SRC), which was formed in 1983 and now has 27 institutional members. The program for 2010 will include a plenary session with invited keynote speakers, six concurrent technical sessions, and a poster session.
A mid-symposium field tour of various shrubland ecosystems will also expose attendees to a broad array of research and management topics. In addition to organized sessions, contributed oral and poster presentations on all aspects of shrublands are encouraged. Symposium proceedings will be published by the U.S. Department of Agriculture, Forest Service, Rocky Mountain Research Station; all presenters are strongly encouraged to prepare a manuscript for the proceedings.
