Production Forestry Intern

Western Production Forestry is responsible for developing technology that spans the entire life cycle of Douglas-fir from seedlings grown in nurseries to harvest. This position will focus on key research projects in our nurseries with opportunities to gain experience in nursery science and regeneration, plant physiology, silviculture, and forest health. This position will focus on applied research methods, project installation, data collection, and data analysis.
Qualifications
- Completed at least 1 year of college
- GPA 3.0 or higher
- Capacity to work both independently and as a team player adhering to all the safety expectations
- Have an interest in hands on work in outdoor and laboratory environments
- Demonstrable skills in computer applications as they relate to the discipline
- Ability to relate, understand and implement the applicable regulatory laws into the assignment
- Possess a valid driver's license
- Willingness and ability to successfully complete a pre-employment drug screen and criminal background checks
