Propagule Processing: Two seedlots were run through the Westrup Brush Machine twice with medium stiff brushes,and a coarse shell (size 10 wire), at speed 11 to separate the seeds from the stalk.
Light weight trash from one seedlot was aspirated at 0.02 inches of water once followed by screening out large trash with a 58/1000 inch screen.
The light weight trash and seeds in the other seedlot were aspirated separately at 0.02 inches of water.
A third seedlot was not run through the brush machine but hand rubbed with a 4 x 20" square screen to remove the seeds from the stalk.
