Propagule Collection: Seeds are collected between September 16th and October 21st.
Ellipsoid capsules are 8 mm long.
Seed is 1 mm long and brownish black and ovular with pointed tips at maturity.
Propagule Processing: Seed Cleaning:Rub entire plant over sieve No. 25 using a pair of rubber gloves.
Storage Conditions: Seeds are kept dry and stored at room temperature.
Pre-Planting Treatments: Soak seeds in fresh water for 24 hours.

Sowing Method: Transplanting Germinants.
Seeds are sown in flats containing Sunshine Mix #4 Aggregate Plus (peat moss, perlite, major and minor nutrients, gypsum, and dolomitic lime).
Seeds are mixed with media to sow and are surface sown.
Flats are watered in with an automatic mist and irrigation system and are placed onheated benches.

Establishment Phase: Seedlings are transplanted after germination to individual containers 7 cubic inches (Stubby leach tubes) containing standard potting mix of peat moss, fir bark, perlite, and sand.
