Target Specifications: Grow plugs to be transplanted into raised beds for seed increase.
Propagule Collection: Seed heads are cut off plants using hand-held grass trimers and then raked into pils and put on tarps in an open greenhouse to dry.
Propagule Processing: Seeds were brushed in a lab-sized Westrup brsuh machine. Seeds were cleaned using a small air screen machine.
Growing Area Preparation/
Annual Practices for Perennial Crops:		 Seeds were sown into cone-tainers filled with Sunshine#1 (a soil-less, peat-based media) amended with micro-nutrients (Micromax) and a slow-release fertilizer (Osmocote 14-14-14). Flats of cone-tainers were placed in a cooler for 5 weeks cold stratification.
Establishment Phase: Seeds germinate once they have been exposed to warm temperatures (80 degrees).
Other Comments: This species floweres in its first growing season.
