Propagule Processing: | Two seedlots were run through the Westrup Brush Machine once with medium stiff brushes, and a coarse shell (size 10 wire), at speed 11 to separate the seeds from the flowers. The seeds fell out of the bottom of the machine and the sticks came out of the chute. Seeds from both seedlots were aspirated twice at 0.01 inches of water column to remove the light trash. Seeds from one seedlot was further cleaned with a 6/64" round hole screen. |
