General Distribution:	Blennosperma bakeri is an endangered vernal pool species that is endemic to Sonoma County. Its population is limited to a few vernal pool sites in the Laguna de Santa Rosa and Sonoma Valley.

Growing Area Preparation/ Annual Practices for Perennial Crops:	Sowed 1 seed per cell into 128 plug trays. Seeds were sown into Sungro professional growing mix (Sunshine Mix #1 which contains Canadian Sphagnum Peat Moss, Perlite, Dolomite Lime, Long-Lasting Wetting Agent, RESiLIENCE). Seeds were sown 2 mm deep. Seed trays were kept in a greenhouse and watered by an automatic irrigation system daily. Seeds were sown in early January. Seeds started germinating 6 days after sowing. 100% of the seeds germinated.

Harvesting, Storage and Shipping:	Seeds were harvested in May and June using a modified shop vacuum.
Outplanting performance on typical sites:	Transplants were grown in a raised bed in a hoop house protected by bird netting. The soil in the raised bed was covered with weed barrier fabric.
Other Comments:	A Scientific, Educational, or Management permit is required to conduct work with species protected under the California Endangered Species Act. Work was conducted under the Scientific, Educational, or Management Permit No. 2081(a)-21-007-RP from the California Department of Fish and Wildlife.
