Target Specifications: Grow plugs to be transplanted into a field covered with weed fabric for seed increase.
Propagule Collection: Seeds were vaccummed off the weed fabric using battery-powered hand vacs.
Propagule Processing: Seeds were cleaned using a small air screen machine.
Growing Area Preparation/
Annual Practices for Perennial Crops:		 Seeds were sown into cone-tainers filled with Sunshine #1 (a soil-less, peat-based media) amended with micro-nutrients (Micromax) and a slow-release fertilizer (Osmocote 14-14-14). Flats of cone-tainers were placed in an unheated greenhouse.
Establishment Phase: Seeds require 3 weeks (stratification)at temperatures around 40 degrees Fahrenheit before they will germinate, and they only germinate in cool temperatures.
Other Comments: Flowers on the first growing season.
