Biography:
I assist the USFS National Nursery System and other NFS nurseries, encouraging the production of healthy seedlings for outplanting on federal, state, tribal, and private lands. I received an undergraduate degree from Michigan Technological University in Applied Ecology and Environmental Sciences and a graduate degree from Colorado State University in Ecological Restoration. Prior to this role, I was the Southern Nursery Specialist, managed the USFS J.W. Toumey Nursery in Watersmeet, MI, served as the assistant manager at the USFS J. Herbert Stone Nursery in Central Point, OR, and oversaw greenhouse and nursery operations in Rocky Mountain National Park. Over the years, I have had amazing opportunities to grow native plant materials in a variety of greenhouse and nursery situations with various agencies and organizations, helping to achieve reforestation goals and supporting a unique variety of restoration projects on public lands across the U.S.
