Biography:

As the editor of Tree Planters' Notes, I oversee the editorial process of the publication, working with authors to edit articles and coordinate with other members of the RNGR team to solicit articles. I am also a contract science writer with the USFS Pacific Northwest Research Station and the Rocky Mountain Research Station.

I have a BA in English from Saint Martin's University, a BS in environmental science and resource management with a focus in forestry from the University of Washington, and a MS with a focus in silviculture and science communication from the University of Washington. I am a member of the Society of American Foresters and the Northwest Science Writers Association. As a volunteer, I serve on the Washington Tree Farm Program board as the communications chair.
