Great Bear Native Plants
http://www.greatbearnativeplants.com
Great Bear Native Plants is a wholesale nursery specializing in containerized native plants of the American West including the Rockies, Great Basin and Great Plains. We provide reliable, high-quality plant material for ecological restoration and reclamation projects of all sizes—from backyard pollinator gardens to large-scale mine reclamation and infrastructure work.
Our customers include environmental consultants, mining entities, state and federal agencies, municipalities, non-profits, landscapers and landscape architects, wholesale nurseries, and independent garden centers. Whatever the project, our team works closely with clients to find practical, customized solutions to their native plant needs.
We grow containerized seedlings in sizes ranging from plug trays to treepots, Deepots, and up to 5-gallon containers. Our proprietary growing medium is enriched with mycorrhizal inoculum to support healthy root development and successful establishment. We offer both contract grows and hard-to-find species sourcing, and can grow from either client-supplied seed or our own carefully sourced collections.
In addition to plants, we offer comprehensive seed services, including custom seed mixes, contract seed collection, seed banking and project-specific seed sourcing. For clients needing installation and construction support, we collaborate with skilled restoration crews—including MSHA-certified teams—who can provide on-the-ground restoration services such as revegetation and planting, streambank stabilization, weed control, dam decommissioning, erosion control, and stormwater improvements.
We are experts in shipping, whether it’s a small order sent by UPS, a pallet shipped LTL, or a full truckload. No matter the size of your order or the complexity of your site, we’re here to help you get the right plants, in the right condition, at the right time.
At Great Bear Native Plants, we’re committed to ecological stewardship and practical partnerships—growing with environmental responsibility and giving back to the communities we serve.
