Breeding Pest-Resistant Forest Trees: Developments and Trends

A decade ago breeding for resistance was considered only a promising means of reducing losses to forest insects and diseases. Convincing examples have since demonstrated its practicality. These accomplishments have awakened regional, national, and international interest in resistance breeding.
