A Seed Orchard Cooperative Project in New York

The establishment of seed orchards can be considered an important step towards the production of better seed. By better seed is meant seed of specific quality with regard to the objectives for which it will be used. In seed orchards the harvest of seed is considerably facilitated and the amount needed can be much better controlled than is possible in natural stands or in plantations
